Founded in 2013 by Andy Ramsey, AR Controls has grown from a small team into a 20+ strong engineering company working with the UK's leading manufacturers. Based in Sunderland with over 16,000 sq ft of workshops, we deliver end-to-end automation solutions — from concept to commissioning.

Andy Ramsey started his career via a youth training scheme with Electron Control Systems, developing the deep expertise in industrial automation that would become the foundation of AR Controls.
Founded in June 2013, the company quickly established itself as a trusted partner for the North East's leading manufacturers. Our commitment to quality — innovate, create, switch on, walk away 1st time, every time — earned the trust of major automotive OEMs and tier 1 suppliers.
Today, AR Controls operates from Sunrise Enterprise Park in Sunderland, with over 16,000 sq ft of workshop and office space. Our team of 20+ includes electrical engineers and electricians alongside mechanical designers, project engineers, and support staff.
